Kelda - Director

  • Hometown: Prince Rupert
  • How long have you been dancing?: Since I was 5 years old
  • Are there other styles of dance you do?: Trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Baton Twirling
  • When did you join the Country Cuties?: 2009 
  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: Wanted to try a new dance form 
  • Favorite memory with the team?: There are so many memories, picking one is hard!
  • Favorite performance with the team?: Hedley is up there, performing at the 2010 Olympics, and with Big and Rich on stage at Rocking River
  • Favorite Cuties number to perform?: Footloose
  • Go-to dance move?: Whatever comes to mind when the music hits
  • Favorite country artist or band?: Shania Twain and Brad Paisley 
  • Fun Fact: I was a highly competitive Baton Twirler and represented my Province at Nationals and my Country at World Championships
  • What do you do for a living?: Dance Studio Owner/Director and Baton Coach

Breanne - Co-Director

  

  • Hometown: Aldergrove
  • How long have you been dancing?: 31 years (since I was 3)
  • Are there other styles of dance you do?: Trained in everything from Hip Hop to Polynesian. I currently teach and dance RAD ballet
  • When did you join the Country Cuties?: 2012
  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: I love dancing and performing. It is also something fun to do with my sister
  • Favorite memory with the team?: Traveling to Headly and dancing in the rain 
  • Favorite performance with the team?: Maple Ridge
  • Favorite Cuties number to perform?: Fake ID and Rodeo girl
  • Go-to dance move?: “When in doubt- thrust it out” 
  • Favorite country artist or band?: any 1990s country
  • Fun fact: I worked in animal rescue/medicine for 17 years and wrestled bears. 
  • What do you do for a living?:  I am self-employed Odd jobs, Cleaning, Maintenance, Landscaping

  • How long have you been dancing?: Since I was 4
  • Are there other styles of dance you do?: I have done Ballet, Hip Hop, Polynesian, and Contemporary
  • When did you join the Country Cuties?: 2012
  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: Friends
  • Favorite memory with the team?: Trip to Hedley and Rockin River
  • Favorite performance with the team?: Hedley dancing in the rain like nobody's business

  • Go-to dance move?: Tends to be fingers up in the air if not structured

  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: My friends
  • Favorite memory with the team?: Travelling as a group to Hedley

  • How long have you been dancing?: As long as I could walk I have been dancing
  • Are there other styles of dance you do?: Zumba, Pole, and Burlesque
  • When did you join the Country Cuties?: 2016
  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: My love for dance and country music
  • Favorite memory with the team?: I have many but I love it when the team goes out dancing at bars together
  • Favorite performance with the team?: When we performed at the old age home

  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: Love of country music and meeting new friends

  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: I saw the team perform in the past, and then I attended a line dance event with them

  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: I think it’s in my “jeans”, my mother was a high-level line dancer. I have always loved to dance and perform

  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: For the love of all things dancing. It was during COVID & I was drawn to a hometown dance team for social connection and learning something new…down for the challenge…plus country, I mean…

  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: I was looking for a new adventure outside my comfort zone and the norm....and was looking to make new friends as my kids needed me less at home

  • What inspired you to audition for the team? I love everything country and figured it would be a fun way to meet like-minded people.

  • Are there other styles of dance you do?: Tap Dancing, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary mostly.....plus many other types
  • When did you join the Country Cuties?: 2023
  • What inspired you to audition for the team?: To try something new and to meet new people
  • Favorite memory with the team?: The hail storm at The Cloverdale Rodeo
  • Favorite performance with the team?: Whatever performance we have just completed.....The top 2 are at the Abby Canucks and with Hustle n Flow
